Kiambu is one of Kenya’s more accessible coffee regions, with well-established infrastructure and proximity to Nairobi. The area has a strong cooperative presence, with multiple factories operating within short distances of each other.

The cooperative structure in Kiambu provides smallholder farmers with access to shared processing facilities and organised market channels. Centralised processing allows for consistent handling of coffee while reducing the need for farm-level infrastructure.
